Laboratory shelving in the same material as your bench
This is shelving made from Trespa TopLab Base, the same high pressure laminate we use for our laboratory worktops. That matters above a bench, because shelves take the same spills, splashes and cleaning regime as the surface below them. Melamine and painted timber shelving marks and swells over time. Trespa does not.
The board resists chemical spills, scratching and abrasion, and is rated from -40°C to +180°C, so it copes with heat rising from equipment below and with the reagents that get stored on it. All edges are chamfered and polished, which keeps them comfortable to reach across and easy to wipe down.
300mm depth, cut to your length
Shelves are 300mm deep, which takes reagent bottles, glassware and general bench storage while keeping the shelf clear of the work area underneath. Lengths are cut to your requirement up to 1500mm rather than sold in fixed increments, so a shelf can match the width of a bench, fit an alcove, or sit between existing fixtures without compromise.
Optional adjustable spur bracketry
Select the bracketry option and your shelf is supplied with 2 no. 1m spur uprights. The uprights carry slotted channels, so brackets can be repositioned along their length and shelf heights reset as your equipment and storage change. That is worth having in a working lab, where what sits on a shelf this year is rarely what sits on it next year.
Because the uprights are a metre long, they will carry more than one shelf. If you want high and low level storage from a single installation, order additional shelves to run from the same pair of uprights.
If you already have spur uprights fitted, or you are mounting the shelf another way, order the shelf on its own without the bracketry.
Bought direct from the manufacturer
We cut and finish our Trespa shelving in our own UK workshop rather than buying it in, so there is no reseller markup between us and your lab. It also means we can cut to your dimensions rather than to a catalogue, and any question about lengths or fixing is answered by the people making it.
Matching your existing furniture
Five Trespa colours are available: White (E0-00), Pastel Grey (E0-015), Silver Grey (E0-02), Speckled White (S0-00) and Speckled Pastel Grey (S0-015). If you are adding shelving above existing Tableform benching, we can match the worktop colour already in the room.
Need shelving and bench together? See our laboratory bench with spur shelving, which supplies both as one unit, or our bench with fixed welded shelving for a permanent setup. For worktops on their own, see our Trespa cut to size service, or get in touch for bespoke laboratory shelving.
